Yea, you’ve pretty much nailed every single movie out there that has the potential to cause massive shock. I’m not really into movies that show extremely disturbing images like incest, child abuse, pedophilia, necrophilia. Back when I was in high school, we used to watch Faces of Death so that’s probably the only one of your list i’ve seen. I started watching Audition but kind of got bored with it so I need to finish that one. Visitor Q is one of those movies I won’t watch because I can’t stomach incest. There was another one where a father falls in love with a girl who turns out to be his daughter, unbeknownst to either of them. I saw the original Last House on the Left and it really didn’t shock me…
I guess KIDS is probably the closest I can think of to a controversial plot comparable to these, minus the extreme and unrelenting violence.

Dead Silence

Wow good list you even have The Untold Story on there. I have seen a lot of the films you mentioned and the films the other posters mentioned and Last House on the Left (original, the remake really missing what made this good) is a big one for me, I find the quiet scenes after the rape to be more disturbing than any gore I have seen in another film. The sense of complete loss and helplessness in Last House is just overwhelming in parts and really stuck with me.
Another one that bothered me is B*stard out of Carolina, the graphic child abuse is so upsetting and the ending makes me want to scream.
It’s really all about what disturbs you personally, for me it’s rape but for someone else it might be gore so they would not find the films I chose that disturbing.

Honestly? This movie was probably the most disturbing I have seen in years. The killer is someone you will not soon forget. The very beginning is enough for anyone to be scared for life.
No Country for Old Men

I heard Happiness is considered shocking and controversial, I found it just a little dark nothing too horrifying, certainly not disturbing. From all I’ve seen, living a sheltered life, I’d say Scum is pretty disturbing, the rape scene in particular.
