What is social dating?
I have dated two women since my divorce. My current friend has told me that she wants to see my exclusively but she has many friends in her life. She has told me that she has gone out with men she broke up with. She has also gone back out with a man who is an ex-boyfriend that she thinks is gay but has told her in the past that he loves her. She also likes to drink and we have had drinks on all of our dates. We only had one drink last night and that was unusual. She tells me that when she goes out with friends she has sometimes lost count of the number of drinks she has had. There are red flags that go up during the course of our conversations but I am so lonely and need a woman so badly that I just seem to avoid them.
I do not really drink that much and over the past two weeks I have done more drinking with her that I normally do in a year. I am so desperate to get a woman back in my life since my divorce that I am trying to be someone that I am not just so that I can get a woman back into bed with me. It is more than sex. I miss having a woman lying next to me since my divorce and it is driving me crazy.
Since my wife and I split up, I have dated a couple of women I met on line. Both my ex GF and my current GF like to drink, like sports, and like muscular, jock type men that are into sports and like to drink. When I talk about books or music or art, they do not show much interest if they are sober and seem to laugh at me when they have had a few drinks.
What is social dating? How is that different from traditional dating? I caught my ex girl friend trying to hook up with another guy after she told me she was just seeing me. Now my current girlfriend also talks about wanting to go out with me. However she talks about going out with ex boyfriends, guys that are gay, and going out with a group of people from work. Some of her buddies from work may be ex boyfriends or Platonic male friends that she flirts with.
We have gone out on three dates so far and it has just been one on one. I am not looking forward to spending an evening with her friends as I doubt they will accept me and no doubt make fun of me.
When she talks to me, I really do not understand what she is talking about. When I talk to her, she says that she can’t hear me, but I really think she doesn’t understand me either. The only time we really hit it off is when I kiss her in my car. She has not been to my place yet and I have not been to her place. She tells me she is remodeling her condo but she may have a live in boyfriend or she could be married. She will not let me meet her at her place so we meet at places near where she lives and then I take her off in my car and drop her off at her car when our date is over.
If you could tell me what social dating is, I would appreciate it. I think this woman is not putting all of her cards on the table with me. I think she may live with a guy and is cheating or she is dating several guys as well as me. What do you think?
