We quick forward four years later. The second movie takes station after the first season of the indicate. It’s unclear exactly when. Izzy, one of the Digidestined, joins with Tai to try and defeat this exclusive Digimon who is invading the internet. With the relieve of their Digimon, Agumon and Tentomon, they try to battle this curious Digimon. But this Digimon keeps digivolving at an accelerated rate. So Izzy contacts the other Digidestined and manages to glean Matt and TK to assist along with their Digimon…Patamon and Gabumon. Agumon and Gabumon are able to digivolve to their Mega level…and eventually join together and defeat this irascible Digimon….or so they reflect…

The second movie has a lot of action…but every few minutes, the action goes down a bit so we can have some humor. The main subplot of the second movie involves a droll argument between Tai and Sora. Tai tried to give Sora a hair clip for her birthday and Sora thinks this is Tai’s intention of criticizing her hairstyle. Women! They always have to analyze everything. Anyway…the battles are intense and the music objective tall. Many songs from the tv display are played during the battle and you can’t aid but instruct along…if you like the music, of course.

The third movie takes area four years later…Sometime during the second season. (Actually, the second season collected hasn’t reached the point at which this section of this movie is state. This is clearly seen because in the prove, Patamon and Gatomon don’t have the ability to warp digivolve yet, an ability they clearly have in this movie.) Anyway…in this share of the movie, we learn that the imperfect Digimon four years ago was created by Willis and is actually a computer virus. And it wasn’t really defeated. It somehow escaped into the actual world and has infected one of Willis’ digimon. Willis is also a Digidestined and has twin digimon. Anyway…for the past four years, one of Willis’s Digimon was infected with the virus and making Willis’ life depressed. But with the wait on of Davis and the other Digidestined, they manage to defeat the virus again and free Cocomon from the virus’ control.

The third movie, while not as charming as the first two, has some moments. Humor is one of it’s strenght. The place is a bit vague…but it doesn’t harm the movie in general.

So, if you are a fan of the prove, you will not be dissappointed by this movie.

Digimon: The Movie is a segment of three movies, all relased seperately in Japan. In movie 1, before season one (the novel airings on telivision), Tai (Taichi) and Kari (Hikari), two special characters, meet Koromon at ages 7 and 4. Tai is 7, Kari is 4. They meet a special Digimon who turns out to be Tai’s partner in season 1. This movie was short and to me, handsome un-interesting, but I loved it anyhow!

Movie 2, aka Section 2, takes residence after season 1. Izzy (Koushiro) discovers a DigiEgg on the computer. It hatches in to a baby digimon, and begins to eat up data on the internet. Soon, people from all over the world are watching the battle between Diaboromon (strongest level of digimon) on their computers. Even Yolei (Miyako) from season 2 at a young age appears, sending e-mails along with other kids to Tai, Izzy, Matt (Yamato), and T.K. (Takeru) . Eventually, they beat Diaboromon.

Movie 3 takes space during season 2. Davis (Daisuke), Yolei, Cody (Iori), T.K. and Kari are hanging out at a beach. Davis, Yolei, and Cody are all unusual Digidestined, mind you. They meet Willis and his Digimon Terriermon. He had twin Digimon, Terriermon and Lopmon, but Lopmon ran away and grew up confused and unfriendly. Now Lopmon, aka “Endigomon”, tells Willis to “go relieve”, as Willis comes from Colorado. WIllis created Diaboromon when he wanted three Digimon instead of two. But, when he made Diaboromon, a virus infected him and so started movie 2. But, they carve out HALF OF THIS MOVIE in the American version. Endigomon originally captures the aged Digidestined in order to net Willis. THEY Carve THIS OUT! HALF OF THE MOVIE! But, it was so frosty, my grandparents even liked it! “Kids in America” by Len is playing during the credits. PRODIGIOUS MOVIE! I also have a movie clip of the nick scenes in Japanese. PRODIGIOUS MOVIE!

CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST will be a cheap exploitation film to some. And a complete grab your blanky and hot co-co to others(like me _ This starts off with a warning ticket on the movie you are about to stare(a lot like another Dismay masterpiece did in 74) while the warning is being shown you are hearing some of the most HAUNTING music achieve to celluloid. We then are in a plane flying over the coffee like water of the Amazon(No! Not this Amazon) we then jump scenes to Unique York where a T.V.commentator is telling you the viewer that a so few hours flight can hold you to the life of Cannibals(DA DA DUN) We are introduced to 4 very young and valorous individuals who will hover to what they call the Green Inferno and document the lives of Cannibals(DA DA DUN) well they don’t near encourage and a T.V. region hires a professor to catch them with a search party. To effect a long record short he finds cans of film and brings them assist to N.Y. to concept them. What he and the others(including you the viewer) perceive is truly HORRIFYING!!! I can only deliver you this…I have a tall Fright collection and no Panic film has done to me what CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST has done! But I will say their is a scene in this movie that made me halt the DVD and salvage up to go to the bathroom splash water on my face and say YOUR O.K. I’ve been vowing to never discover Cannibal Holocaust, Cannibal Ferox, and Lucio Fulci films since I was 15. That was when I really got into dismay films by George Romero, Dario Argento, Sam Raimi, Wes Craven, and on and on. Recently I watched Cannibal Holocaust uncut at age 19 on the internet thinking I was ready but I wasn’t ready enough(lol) .

Ruggero Deodato directed this and remains a cult director today, even appearing in Hostel II and currently making Cannibals(a sequel or Americanized version of Cannibal Holocaust) for mainstream release. The cast includes old-fashioned adult film actor Robert Kerman, several lesser-knowns, and mostly proper natives(if it’s accurate but not definite) . The film is actually centered on a professor who goes to a South American jungle to bag out why “the” documentary crew disappeared. The professor brings the reels encourage, then we win out what happened and search for the footage(which is share of the tale) . The film has 80’s independent Italian drama graphics while the “footage” has realistic documentary graphics. The gather has mainly two theme tracks with one as the superior theme track and the other as the disturbing theme track(which stays in the mind) .

Now I’m positive people want to know alot about the issue. It’s graphically violent and graphically sexual. There is frontal male and female nudity as well but it’s mostly cultural and the male nudity is not up end. The violence is again graphic and looks accurate in the “footage.” I was apprehensive by some killings and animal slayings. The animal killings where profitable, graphic and some even perpetrated by the actors(other than the natives) . The sexual hiss is graphic, not hardcore, but graphic since there are brief rapes and casual sex scenes. This is not for everyone and not many obtain away not shrinking.

My understanding is the film is awful for the acting and such but yet it’s fine for it’s cinematography and elements. I like how it’s a film-inside-a-film like those films about a fictional snuff film inside like 8mm. This film has no point yet it does have satire. Anyways I really don’t like the film but I do gawk something more than sensationalism. I only have respect for the film. I won’t survey it again and I may not behold Cannibal Ferox unless I can be convinced it’s not as disturbing and traumatizing. I wan’t to point something out. This has been inaccurate as a snuff film but it’s not. Even the “footage” is counterfeit and fictional. The only steady killings were done to the animals which I condemned since they were only mature as props. AGAIN, this film is not for everyone and not many are desensitive while watching it.

Having re-watched these small jewels from the 60’s, I can sum it up for the perspective viewer like this: If you watched this indicate as a child, you loved it and you’re now reading these reviews debating on whether or not to rent it, I say “Fetch It Now”, you simply won’t be disappointed. You won’t be disappointed. We all watched these episodes on first pass in Dark & White, on petite television screens with exiguous circular UHF antennas, what you will now gape will blow that away. In color you say? They are impartial an absolute blast to stare again after almost 40 years, they are that remarkable fun. You won’t be disappointed. Since we’ve all seen the episodes, the moral enjoyment from this region comes in the originate of the DVD extras and alternate audio sound tracks. As others have mentioned, watching it in the fresh Japanese language with English subtitles is objective too frosty. You rep a sense of how the episodes first appeared in 1967. Even more frigid is watching in English with the English subtitles turned on. The dissimilarity in what was originally written in Japanese vs. what was dubbed in English is very surprising to say the least. It is very though-provoking and often has a more old almost serious tone to the episodes especially the Ultraman origin episode (no spoilers here) . I’m not looking for the secret director’s carve of “Revenge Of The Sith” or the 20th anniversary version of “Robocop” here, I want Ultraman. I want 40 year old-fashioned Japanese television at it’s best and all the insight I can catch about it as a viewing adult. With that in mind, you will thoroughly delight in it and won’t be disappointed. I promise!

This review is for the Complete Series 4 DVD state released in 2009, not the 6 DVD place released in 2008. Since this is my first Ultraman DVD plot, I am not definite if the quality suffers be squeezing all episodes from 6 DVDs to 4 DVDs.

The DVD case is a double-wide DVD case, but there are no spindles/holders. The 4 DVDs are each set in a dusky paper sleeve and are stacked on top of each other. The sleeves don’t disappear around because they are “held” in area by a square shaped molding on the inside of the DVD case.

I was very surprised by this packaging because I have dozens of DVD television sets and have never seen a site packaged like this. For the stamp (I paid $10.99 free shipping), I am okay with it, but impartial be prepared that is a bare-bones budget area.

Me being a Bruce Dickinson fan to the max, I decided to rent this film after being aroused about it finally being released here. Originally released in the UK as “Chemical Wedding”, The film is about Professor Haddo, a bumbling teacher who offers himself for a transformation experiment and soon becomes possessed by Aleister Crowley, which soon turns the school (and the town) upside down.

This film is a dazzling cold movie, but incredibly flawed one. It was Co-written by Bruce Dickinson and directed by Julian Doyle, and stars Simon Callow as Haddo, turning in his best performance. We also regain a brief survey into Crowley before his death (played by John Shrapnel), and a cameo by Brucey himself (as the guy with thick rimmed glasses at the beginning) .

There are lots of flaws though. The film feels really rushed, I wanted to sort of know more about Crowley’s life in general. There’s a bit too distinguished sex in this film- I know Crowley believed in sexual magic, but did we really need that sweaty orgy scene? They could have implied it instead of making it like 8 minutes long. And I’ll admit the effects were a bit cheesy, but then again this IS a coarse budget movie.

Anyways, this film is worth it for the finale alone despite the cheesy special effects. This is a attractive qualified movie, but be aware… this is definitely not for everyone.

I first became aware of Aleister Crowley through press reports that Jimmy Page of led Zeppelin, had been studying the occultist. A period of reading the books of Dennis Wheatley brought a greater awareness of the occult where Crowley’s name was frequently mentioned.

This film begins with the impending death of the man whilst being visited by two students from Cambridge University (UK) . Unprejudiced before he dies he curses one of the students and inflicts serious injury to him. Sixty years on, at Cambridge there is a conjunction between scientific experiments in a virtual world and the continuing tradition of the occult within the confines of the University. During that conjunction, one of the dons becomes possessed by the spirit of Crowley and graduall transforms into him

The transformation presages a series of events which appear to have been predestined by Crowley and his followers many years before. The purpose of the events gradually unfolds, as they tend to do in these matters, into the return of the fallen angel.

Simon Callow, the RSC actor excels in his portrayal of the restored Crowley. His energies contemplate the larger than life personality of the occultist and the famous acts for which he was foul during his lifetime. This is a film of graphic sexuality and bodily functions. Although there is nudity and depictions of orgies and other sexual acts, they are not exhibited except in their role as section of the magickal power. The acts are more of the means by which spells are enacted, a transference of the power of the body into other mighty forms.

Many people will get this film objectionable for a variety of reasons, the subject of the occult or satanic admire, the sexual nature and spend of profanities, the rejection of christian sensibilities or for many other reasons. Nevertheless it is a considerable depiction of the life of Crowley itself. Ultimately, in the final scenes of the film, very reminiscent of the previous fim, The Devil Rides Out, the world is restored to order.

Given the difficult subject matter, I assume that this film has done a first rate job in enlightening the life and works of Aleister Crowley and is to be commended for it.

I received the DVD for Dario Argento’s The Cat o’ Nine Tails (1971) aka Il Gatto a nove code when I bought a six DVD location from Anchor Bay Entertainment called The Awe Pack: Man’s Worst Friends, which also included Parasite (1982), Lucio Fulci’s The Dim Cat (1989), Slugs: The Movie (1988), Bruno Mattei’s Rats: Night of Dread (1984), and Zoltan, Hound of Dracula (1978) . After watching the film, it seemed an unusual choice for the residence which features movies about animals attacking people, as there was no animals whatsoever in the film, only in the title. Actually, this was the second of a trio of giallo films made by Argento featuring animals in the title, the others being The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970) and Four Flies on Grey Velvet (1971) . Written and directed by Dario Argento (Suspiria, Phenomena), the man often referred to at the Italian Hitchcock, this Italia-Franco-German production features Karl Malden (Nevada Smith, Meteor), Catherine Spaak (Slay Is a Execute), Pier Paolo Capponi (Defeat of the Mafia), Horst Frank (The Night of the Askari), Rada Rassimov (Baron Blood), Aldo Reggiani (Young Lucrezia Borgia), Carlo Alighiero (Blade of the Ripper), and James Franciscus (The Valley of Gwangi, Beneath the Planet of the Apes) .

Franciscus plays Carlo Giordani, a newspaper reporter who stumbles onto the myth of his career (maybe even his life), assisted by an aging blind man, with a penchant for puzzles, named Franco Arnos (Malden) and the man’s young niece. It seems prior to a break-in at a genetics research laboratory, Arno and his niece impartial happened to in the state, and witnessed something with regards to one of the scientists who works in the facility. The next day the very same scientist dies horribly as he’s pushed, accidentally on purpose, in front of a commuter command. So who’s this homicidal madman? There’s plenty of suspects to resolve from…whoever it is, they certainly don’t have a quandary getting their hands `dirty’ with a petite manslaughter…

I understanding this was a really solid film throughout, with only a couple minor issues. One thing that surprised me was the righteous production values that went into the movie. Looks like most of the film was shot on position, which where chosen well. I understanding most all the performers did very well, especially Franciscus and Malden. I don’t know what it is about Franciscus, but he objective has a dependable presence on the conceal, one you can’t assist but feel compelled to preserve your eyes on…certainly he’s a gracious looking man, but there is another quality, a vigorous, manly man aspect. See for the scene come the waste where he runs face first into a two by four being held by the killer…ouch! That’ll leave a note…I was impressed with how Argento kept the yarn piquant along as well as he did, given the film is nearly two hours long. Some of it probably could have been excised, like the element of the storyline about the relationship between the owner of the genetic research facility and his daughter, played by Ms. Spaak. I’m really unsure what the point of that was, other than perhaps to overly invent the possibility that either one may be the culprit, along with a whole slew of other suspects, or unprejudiced to dart people out (which it did for me) . The one thing that stood out as the main shortfall enthusiastic the revelation of the identity of the maniac killer. There were no sincere clues within the account that ever pointed towards any one individual, so when the mountainous philosophize occurred, it could have been almost anyone who hadn’t yet been killed. Oh obvious, some additional supporting information was given after the fact, things regarding motive and such, but arrive on, anyone can do that…it’s putting sly clues out their prior to the insist that execute a mystery truly fun and inviting to an audience. This may seem a fairly primary aspect considering this is a mystery, but I felt the majority of the film done well enough to compensate. I dunno, maybe the breadcrumbs were there, but I neglected to follow. As far as the deaths go, some bag gorgeous inappropriate, particularly the guy pushed in front of the enlighten…there’s couple of strangulations, a face slashing, attempted poisoning, and more…I consider my well-liked sequence was when Franciscus’ character was in the barbershop getting a shave with a straightedge razor. The barber is griping about reporters and how the newspapers are speculating that the maniac killer might possibly be a barber, due the proficiency the killer has with a inspiring blade. During this time, we discover the barber, through discontinuance ups, shaving Franciscus’ face and throat, and his unease towards the barber’s agitated place. Another scene I really liked was when Franciscus and Malden are in the graveyard, looking to dig up one of the recently murdered victims in order to follow up on a clue…the fun never ends with these two, I’ll protest you what…all in all, a very stylish, sometimes creepy affair with a few vicious murders and a solid storyline.

Anchor Bay Entertainment provides an marvelous, `re-mastered, uncut, uncensored’, sharp-looking print of the film, in widescreen (2.35:1) anamorphic, on this DVD, along with a decent Dolby Surround 2.0 audio track. Special features include a featurette titled `Tales of the Cat: interviews with director Dario Argento, writer Dardano Sacchetti, and musical composer Ennio Morricone (14 minutes), two trailers, two TV spots, radio interviews with both Franciscus and Malden (8 minutes each), a poster and unruffled gallery, talent bios, and a 5X7 reproduction of unusual poster art on an insert in the DVD case, the flipside featuring the chapter stops. One thing potential buyers should preserve in mind is that there are numerous DVD releases of this film out there, and while I have yet to watch them, I’ve rarely been disappointed with the quality on Anchor Bay releases, so even though it may cost a miniature more, it’s probably worth it, in this case, to compose positive which release you’re thinking of purchasing.

By the procedure, if I learned anything from this film, it’s never to drink from a leaky carton of milk left on my doorstep, especially if a sadistic killer is out to find me…

I had read somewhere that Dario himself didn’t consider highly of this film and Maltin rates it a BOMB. I was sceptical when I rented this one but in the destroy I was relieved that I did. It’s actually quite kindly and it has a cohesive state that keeps you guessing ’till the very kill. There’s no gore here to stutter of but Argento keeps things engaging from open to achieve and the actors here are amazingly advantageous (compared to many other Argento films) . Check it out, it certainly doesn’t deserve a BOMB rating, and also, it seems that Dario is never entirely contented with his traditional films, apperently he can’t even explore them on t.v.

DON’T take this disk if you are looking for extra episodes that they didn’t squeeze into the Boxed Residence. The Boxed Location contains all the recent episodes of the series, and it also contains the director’s crop for episodes 21, 22, 23, and 24. There’s nothing else available anywhere.

The novel waste of the series (episodes 25 and 26) was unsatisfactory to many fans, and so the director reworked the ending in the execute of TWO movies. They are NOT included in the boxed dwelling. You can pick them seperately, or they also approach in a two-pack box. The first movie is called “Death and Rebirth,” and the second movie is “The Destroy of Evangelion.” They are both pleasant films, and abet as an attractive and thought-provoking alternative to the unusual ending of the series.

Needless to say, this series is the best that anime has to offer. All the amazing action and animation is perfectly complimented by a mix of intricate characters and philosophies. Neon Genesis Evangelion is as noteworthy about tackling the nature of the soul as it is about giant alien creatures getting killed by giant robot things. It’s amazing.

I made the mistake of thinking I was gyped out of some of the episodes when I bought the Platinum Collection boxed location (which has “Collection” disks 1-6) . So I bought Platinum Collection 7 thinking I would now have the director’s cuts of some more episodes, but it turns out the boxed site impartial consolidates Collection disks 1-7 into 6 disks. Amazon.com let me return it, but I had to pay for shipping. Oh well, lesson learned. I idea you all might learn from my mistake.

In the beginning of this 1 hour documentary, we are very fast introduced to the 20 or so experts who will be giving their testimony throughout the film. It’s done snappy, but after the first 5 or so it becomes a sort of blur and you want to say, “Wait.. listless down…”

The whole film is sort of like that.

There’s a LOT of trustworthy information in “Uncovered.” It makes its case well, by calling upon people from within the CIA and within the government to direct their stories. It also does a very effective job of showing how the Bush administration changed its yarn over time, and how things that were originally said to be right were then de-emphasized and then finally denied completely.

The quandary I have with this documentary is that it throws so grand at the viewer so fast that it weakens the impact of each successive section. In the interview with the director (in the Bonus Material portion of the DVD) he talks about having had only a few months to build all this information together and how frantic the paddle was to salvage it done on time. Frankly, it shows.

What I would really like to peep is this same information taken and place into some kind of cohesive tale, and rather than compressing it all into one hour, give it the time that it deserves and form it a 2 hour film. Let us hear the testimonies of these people with a bit more depth, rather than throwing snippet after snippet at us. “Uncovered” is a vast rough draft of a documentary, but as a finished product it’s flawed.

For all of that, this is collected a documentary worth seeing. There’s a lot of tall information here; the step-by-step analysis of Powell’s speech to the UN is particularly effective. This is an famous film and one that needs to be seen.

To the reviewer who titled his one-star review “Oh, Please,” perhaps you should net some sense of perspective. Hussein was certainly a brutal tyrant, but he did not ruin MILLIONS of his subjects. Tens of thousands, yes, perhaps even hundreds of thousands. But MILLIONS? No.

Perhaps the distinction is lost on you, and in terms of whether it makes Hussein a MORE or LESS heinous brute, it is insignificant. This being a representative Republic, we the people could have decided to succor the war or not based on honest reasons for going. But the Bushies feared the people would not reflect such reasons sufficient to wage war over, and they subverted democracy by lying to us in order that we would not conclude their war of choice, a war they have carried out NOT because of any of the reasons they told us, but for geopolitical and ideological reasons of their gain.

If this film were shown to every voter before November, we can be positive Bush would have no chance of regaining office. He may not in any case, but with the illumination provided by this film, it would be, as George Tenet said, ” a SLAM DUNK!”

The online info for this movie did not say that it is a musical version made for tv, which is stated on the case. The music is overdone for our tastes, and some of our approved scenes were altered or missing.

I’ve watched this movie several times and never found it humdrum. To reflect of meeting a dog like that on a gloomy lonely street. Heck, I’d be skittish in broard day light. Any scare fan would adore this movie. Unprejudiced don’t gaze it alone!
