creative and affordable wedding ideas?
my fiancee and I are planning on getting married sometime this summer or fall when he graduates from the MArine Corps boot camp, but we have a very very limited budget. We also were trying to find a way to make it unique without breaking the bank.
We’re both a little dorky -i like: belly dancing (Rachel Brice), Sarah Brightman and things of that sort
he likes: Halo, really any PC, World of Warcraft especially (he plays an undead warlock, and I an undead priest) and so on.
I was also looking into the idea of finding a non traditional dress, as in maybe adding a touch or two of color or maybe just getting a red, balck or burgundy dress
Is there any way to incorporate these types of themes or ideas without making the whole thing too tacky and/or unaffordable for us? I want it to be unique and fun and a reflection of us without going over the top and i have absolutely no idea how to do that
thanks
Okay, you can have a wedding you’ll both be happy with - but the first thing to do is to purge the word "tacky" from your vocabulary, unless you’re using it to mean "rude." Because the only things truly tacky in this world are things that are inconsiderate - the rest is all just a matter of style, and no matter WHAT you do, someone somewhere is going to find fault with it.
If you have a red dress, someone will call you a harlot. If you have a traditional white ballgown, someone will think you’re boring and conventional. Do what makes the two of you happy, as long as you’re not being a self-involved little princess who thinks the world revolves around your wedding.
You can definitely incorporate all of your themes and not break the bank doing it. Check out the profiles on
