Can you help me find the haircut i'm looking for?
I want swept side bangs with long layers and short layers. I don’t know if you can get that but I think you can? I want long layers cause they’ve always looked good on me but i want short layers to give me volume. I have really long hair which I’m probably going to get an inch or two off of which would still be longer than my halfway down my chest if that makes sense. I have side bangs already but every time I take a shower they look different and they still show half of my right eyebrow. I would like them to not get messed up a lot and when I fix it I know how to make it look the exact same. I want my side bangs to cover more of my forehead. I’m getting my hair cut tomorrow. It is a rush hour going home from work. There are many cars on the road. There is this one car and the driver does not care who is in front, who is at the back and who are at the sides. Even when there is no space for him to change lanes, he still tries to move in thinking that somehow his car will not rub against the other car.

Actually, that sounds so radical, that I would immediately sense that the driver was impaired somehow, possibly sick or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Since he’s an accident waiting to happen, I would tend to either fall way back behind him in traffic or go way down the highway well ahead of him to avoid the accident that he may cause.

There are drivers out there that seem oblivious to anyone else on the road. That is, until they discover they are not in front and there is some mental deficiciency that causes them to act just as you describe. Wanting to be in front apparently at whatever means possible, including the darting in and out of lanes impatiently, with little regard of the surroundings.

Nobody knows what is going on in their heads, but as some of the other posters have indicated, your best bet is to back off and give them the space. They will HIT you, if they need to, just to be first.

Help with Trichotillomania TTM . Medication or psychology ?
i have a really severe case of TTM (hair pulling) and ive had it since i was 4. I just turned 18 now and its been the biggest hassle of a lifetime dealing with it. I pull out all my eyelashes all the time it makes me SO self conscious and not want to socialize.

For people who have had/ has this i was wondering if you have tried any medication that helped you with it and what was it?
Or any suggestions on what i can take to help me through it ? (is their any hope ive had it for 14 years and i do it with and without realizing it)

I have done a lot of research and i know almost all their is about TTM. I know it could possibly an OCD which i think i already have.
A little more about me … ive had a lot of stress in my life and ive tried everything to try and stop pulling. Im afraid if i take Prozac(or anything like this) that i might kill myself because i have a lot of suicidal thoughts all the time. I also have many panic and anxiety attacks and i am severely depressed all the time. I know there are some pills that increase serotonin levels that might or antidepressants ? Any advice would be good. Thanks!

Given McCain's "experience", why don't we know more? we know his past but what about his influence?
To the average American (and that’s questionable…), John McCain is known as a POW. He’s known as a candidate who lost rather heatedly against Bush in the prelims in a previous race for nomination. He’s known as a Senator from a state which stands on the frontline of illegal immigration. He’s known as being around for a long time. He’s known as being rather independent & bipartisan politically.

Essentially, the average person knows "of" him. Others know far more details of his private/personal life but those are people who have a more "tabloid" fascination with Washington’s politicians. Experience-wise, we don’t know him like other older Senators such as Ted Kennedy.

How much weight does simply "being around" and "years in Washington" hold? He’s been around but has failed to vote (absent) on numerous occasions. He adds to the number of Republicans in Congress but what does that really say about experience?

On the other hand, Obama who is relatively new to the general public, is known for his influence. Although it’s easy to recognize ANY black in Congress given how relatively few there are, Obama has made an impact. We clearly see how the American Dream has been a reality in his life and how the efforts of MLK were not, afterall, in vain. Even those who blatantly discredit Obama are finding it difficult to keep him in a box of associations they suddenly fear, including the accusation of him being a Muslim. (Don’t forget, though. Many voting Americans ARE Muslims, Mormons, and former 60s radicals…and they may not necessarily be voting for Obama.)

Does aging on the shelf work for McCain like it does for wine or does Obama represent an exceptional harvest from a vineyard that’s been perfected by nature?
Charles K - you’re simply regurgitating the current Republican spill. Few can articulate the way Obama does unless they have a good theoretical base. Don’t worry, he has depth but it doesn’t
take a rocket scientist to state the obvious here. It can be stated simply–we need a change! Somebody has to be bold enough to assert that seemly vague fact. Obama is a catalyst for change. Of course, no president will be doing it alone BUT the president, unlike Bush, needs the guts to assert it!

I’m not aware of this "influence" you are speaking of. Has he authored and meaningful legislation, sponsored any bills? His only influence seems to be that he can speak eloquently without saying a thing. Oh! Yeah! And he’s an African American.

His speaches are flowing, magnificently crafted oratories signifying nothing. I think what many of us are amazed at is how many people have been takin in by this man and yet can’t say definitively what he will attempt to accomplish as President. The annointed one has no clothes… or so it seems.
