if you ahve ever lived with a sibling or parent with mental illness there is a defintie anxiety added to your daily life–kind of like living with an alcholic–"is today a good day" becomes a theme–i can’t remember sepcific examples from the film to express that though. there was a significant strain on the marraige his wife was pretty much parenting him adn the kid for a while there…as well as during the time he was unemployed/unable to work money is a key factor of stress in any marriage there would be a certain embarassment factor socially–but i don’t remember them detailing that in the film. also his best friend/college roommate kind of like a 3rd person in the marriage and then to discover it was just an illusion she was sharing her husband with not with another person but an actual illusion of his mind. hope this was helpful…
