I was saved by a complete stranger. Now he wants to take me on a date but I don't fancy him?
O.K this sounds so bad but hear me out. I got rather drunk on a night out and decided to walk the three miles home to my house. Obviously the drink was in control of my brain at this stage!!! As I was only about 5 minutes into my journey a group of men grabbed me and tried to pull me to a secluded area. One had a knife so I did not try to get away. But then a young man extremely bravely ran over and pulled me from their grasp before moving me to THE safety of his car. He then put a blanket round me and asked me to let him walk me home. When I informed him that I lived a 50 minute walk away his face said it all. He used his "sat-nav" to drive me home before handing me a large amount of advice i.e don’t get too drunk, don’t dress so slutty, don’t ever walk home alone. We exchanged numbers and then I got out of the car and went into my apartment. Now he is beyond doubt a genuine lovely guy the sort any girl would be lucky to have and yesterday he asked me if I would like to go for coffee and told me that I was stunning etc. But he is just rather ugly!!! It HAS to be said. Just looking at him makes me feel a bit ill!!!! O.K he’s not overweight or anything but seriously I don’t fancy him at all and although he’s only 21 he looks about 26! But he possibly SAVED MY LIFE so I kinda owe him? What should I do?

I don’t think you necessarily owe him. He should of done that from the kindness of his heart and not expect anything back, BUT it would be a nice gesture for you to get coffee with him seeing as he did risk his life as well. Going to get coffee together isn’t making a commitment to a relationship, so just go as friends. If he asks for something more, just tell him you’re not looking for a relationship right now.
